770-874-0402The fire pump is the heart of your water-based fire suppression system. If it fails during a fire, your sprinklers and standpipes may not have enough pressure to control the blaze. Titan Life Safety provides NFPA 25-compliant testing and maintenance to keep your pump ready.
NFPA 25 Compliant
All testing meets current NFPA 25 requirements for fire pump inspection and testing
Full-Flow Test Reports
Complete annual flow test documentation with pump curve data
Weekly & Monthly Service
Churn test programs available for electric and diesel pump systems
Controller & Driver Service
Fire pump controllers and motors/engines inspected and serviced
NFPA 25 requires annual full-flow testing and weekly or monthly churn tests for all fire pump systems.
A fire pump that hasn't been tested may fail silently — and only reveal the problem during an actual fire.
The most common type for commercial buildings. Powered by a dedicated electrical service with automatic transfer to backup power. Weekly churn tests required.
Used where reliable electrical service cannot be guaranteed. Self-contained with on-site fuel supply. Monthly churn tests and fuel system maintenance required.
Used when the water source is below grade, such as a storage tank or underground reservoir. Require specialized inspection of the column and bowl assembly.
Common in large commercial and industrial applications. The split casing allows internal inspection without removing the pump from the piping.
Small pumps that maintain system pressure and detect minor leaks. Frequent cycling indicates a system leak that requires investigation.

Automatic start failure is the most critical fire pump deficiency. We test all start modes — automatic, manual, and remote — per NFPA 25.
A pump that starts but delivers less than rated flow or pressure may not supply enough water to control a fire. Annual flow testing catches this.
Diesel fuel stored in the pump tank can degrade over time, causing hard starts or engine failure. We check fuel condition and recommend treatment or replacement.
Fire pump controllers monitor dozens of conditions. Unaddressed trouble signals can mask serious problems. We inspect and clear all controller alarms.
Excessive leakage from packing glands indicates wear that will worsen over time. Minor dripping is normal; significant leakage requires adjustment or repacking.
Inadequate suction pressure or a partially closed suction valve can starve the pump. We verify suction conditions meet design requirements.
