770-874-0402When power fails during a fire or emergency, your occupants need to find the exits in the dark. Emergency lighting and exit signs are the last line of guidance during an evacuation — and they must work reliably. Titan Life Safety provides NFPA 101-compliant testing to make sure they will.
NFPA 101 Compliant
All testing meets NFPA 101 Life Safety Code requirements
Full Test Documentation
Monthly and annual test records provided for AHJ and insurance
Monthly & Annual Service
30-second monthly tests and 90-minute annual battery discharge tests
Lamp & Battery Replacement
Failed components replaced as needed
NFPA 101 requires monthly 30-second tests and annual 90-minute battery discharge tests for all emergency lighting.
Both tests must be documented. Missing records are a code violation during AHJ inspections.
Self-contained battery-backed units that activate automatically when normal power fails. Required in corridors, stairwells, and exit paths.
Illuminated signs marking exit doors and directional paths. Required to be continuously illuminated and battery-backed for power failure.
Combined emergency light and exit sign in a single fixture. Common in commercial buildings for efficient coverage of exit paths.
A single battery system that powers multiple emergency lighting fixtures throughout a building. Requires specialized testing of the central unit and all connected fixtures.
Emergency lighting powered by a building generator rather than individual unit batteries. Requires testing of the generator transfer and lighting response.

Replacement
Batteries that cannot sustain 90 minutes of illumination are the most common deficiency. We identify failing batteries before they fail during an emergency.
Failed lamps in emergency units or exit signs leave occupants without guidance during an evacuation. We replace all failed lamps.
Renovations or furniture placement can create dark areas in exit paths. We verify illumination levels meet NFPA 101 minimum foot-candle requirements.
Exit signs that are missing, covered, or not visible from the required distance are a life safety violation. We identify all coverage gaps.
A unit that appears normal may have a failed charging circuit, leaving the battery depleted. We test actual battery capacity, not just indicator lights.
NFPA 101 requires documented monthly and annual testing. Missing records are a code violation and an insurance liability. We provide complete documentation.
